Our world is an amazing masterpiece.

Filled with wonder, awe and pure brilliance around every corner.

I, too often, take this for granted.

I should stop.

I will.

Whether you find yourself living life in a big city, bustling with noise and tall buildings, in a pretty house in the suburbs, or out in the country – the gift of nature is always available, and is a true gift.

I love being in nature.

I love the feeling of my mind and body being re-energized after a long run on the American Tobacco Trail near my home, or in a few moments spent drinking coffee on my back porch.

The gift of nature is amazingly restorative for our souls.

Today – plan some time in nature.

This could be a short, early morning walk in your own neighborhood.

Or, a walk in the park during the middle of your work day.

How about a walk with your husband or wife before dinner?

Being outdoors and breathing in the gifts of nature is an escape – and the best kind.

It’s not bad for your health, and there are no side-effects, other than smiles.

When we take time to appreciate the snow, the grass, and the wind in our face, we are reminded to appreciate the natural beauty that is too often taken for granted.

Today, slow down.

Today, plan time to really see, and really experience the gift of nature that surrounds us daily.

Breathe it in and soak it up.

Your soul will silently say “thank you.”

Cheers to a life of recognizing our blessings!
