Confidence is important! It is a key part of being successful in life.

There’s no way to purchase confidence and there is no way for anyone to take it away from you. It comes from within. It isn’t something that can be lost or stolen, unless we choose to give it up.

Don’t let this happen to you.

Being confident gives you an advantage in life. It gives you the freedom to be yourself and to succeed in your one, amazing and awesome life. Confidence is not to be confused with arrogance. Confidence is light and carries with it kindness, while arrogance brings negativity and darkness to others.

Living with confidence is a gift. With confidence you are free to design and live your unique, exceptional life.

Here are 5 ways to boost your confidence in 5 days:

Be Honest with Yourself. Grab your journal and for 15 minutes write down the things in your life you’re unhappy about. Is there something you want to change about yourself? Is there something you did that you haven’t been able to let go of?  Don’t hold back. Free yourself from carrying these things around as mental clutter. Spend 15 minutes writing down the things you are happy about in your life. Look for the blessings, the good and the joy. It’s there.

Set goals for improvement. If you’re constantly running late and are frustrated with yourself, schedule appointments for 30 minutes before you need to arrive. Get up earlier. Plan extra time for unexpected events. By setting a goal you’re taking action. Recognize the problem and take the steps to change it. You can change and leave behind old habits that just don’t work for you.

Love Yourself. Schedule a bed time and keep it. Make time to exercise, even if it only means a walk around the neighborhood. Eat healthy foods. Drink plenty of water. Enjoy your hobbies. Love yourself and give thanks for the one and only wonderful you. Talk positively to yourself. You are the person you spend the most time with. The more you practice self-care, the better you will feel about yourself.

Be a Blessing to Others. Volunteer. Encourage others. Be a light for someone else. Getting outside of your problems will give you the chance to help someone else. Spreading kindness is like spreading sunshine.

Start Today and Again Tomorrow. Living with confidence is a process and a journey. It is something that builds and grows over time, but is never completed. It’s on-going, just as our lives are on-going and ever-changing. If today didn’t go as planned, tomorrow will be better. Don’t let mistakes (big or small) stop you from living your best life. It’s a gift to feel confident. Treasure your accomplishments and the areas where you bring significance to yourself and others. Give thanks and smile, celebrating your own amazing journey.

Cheers to a more confident you!
