I’m approaching the eight-year anniversary of opening my own business.

It has been a fascinating time, with extreme highs and terrible lows.

It has been like riding a roller coaster, but a ride worth enjoying, which I have!

Prior to opening my business, I was living a life that was on Autopilot, to a destination set by other people. (The title of my book – From Autopilot to Authentic).  I’m now living my authentic life, the one that God had in mind for me, and I’m loving every day!

As I approach this anniversary date, I’ve been reflecting on the past, and making plans for the future.

Looking back, here are some bits of advice that I would give to anyone wanting to branch out and start their own business:

  1. Do Something You Love
  2. Keep Your Life In Balance
  3. Continuously Focus on Personal Growth
  4. Set Written Goals
  5. Learn to Control Your Thinking  (Free of Fear and Regret)
  6. Spend Time With People Who Will Lift You Up
  7. Have an Accountability Partner

Finally, nurture your spiritual side, whatever that may be.  We are all connected in a universe created perfectly and beautifully, and all is unfolding as it should.  Believe this, remember this, and you can relax through the daily ups and downs.  Relaxation leads to peace, peace leads to peak performance, peak performance leads to outstanding results, and outstanding results lead to the accomplishment of one’s goals and dreams.

Here’s to the next eight years – for you and for me.  Let’s go get this!
