Summary:

Do you sometimes wake up in the middle of the night or maybe really early in the morning dreading the day coming up?

Maybe you’re feeling bogged down by a bunch of problems in your life and maybe you’re feeling like your day’s filled up with endless routines that you have no control over. I used to feel like that quite a bit.

Now, I look at my life differently. I look at each day differently.

Let me tell you how.

I know that each day is a brand new day. Every day is a brand new day. It’s our new day.

I try to look at each day and a blank canvas literally. I actually have a blank canvas hanging on the wall in my office. When people visit me, they look at my blank canvas with curiosity. They’re like, “Why would Brett have a blank canvas hanging on his wall?”

My answer is pretty easy. It’s intentional. My blank canvas is my daily reminder that I have a full 24 hours each and every day to paint, metaphorically that is, my masterpiece for the day. Just like I have a blank canvas to paint every day so do you. I don’t mean with real paint, although, for an artist, I’m talking about painting a life.

Every day is your blank canvas. It’s not mine. It’s not your coworker’s or your neighbor’s. It’s yours.

No one else can create your canvas. Although people can fill up your time, they can’t actually design and live your day for you. What you do and what I do with each and every day, it comes from our creativity, effort, work, determination, ambition and desire.

To finish your canvas you must completely paint in each of the corners. This is our reminder to finish our work each and every day. A reminder not to take shortcuts, not to quit early, not to be lazy, but to do the work each and every day until your masterpiece is completed.

Go over to Hobby Lobby or someplace like that and buy your own blank canvas to hang on your wall and let your blank canvas be your daily reminder that each day you have a brand new masterpiece to create. What a gift! Yet, what an awesome responsibility.

Now it’s time, time for me and you to get on to creating our individual and unique masterpieces called today.

Let’s go get this.

Hey there, Coach Brett Blair here. Do you ever wake up sometimes in the middle of the night or maybe really early in the morning dreading the day coming up? Maybe you’re feeling bogged down by a bunch of problems in your life and maybe you’re feeling like your day’s filled up with endless routines that you have no control over. I used to feel like that quite a bit. Now, I look at my life differently. I look at each day differently. Let me tell you how. You see, I know that each day is a brand new day. Every day is a brand new day. It’s my new day. It’s your new day.

I try to look at each day and a blank canvas literally. I actually have a blank canvas hanging on the wall in my office. I took it down here to show it to you. When people visit me, they look at my blank canvas with curiosity. They’re like, “Why would Brett have a blank canvas hanging on his wall?” Let me tell you why. My answer is pretty easy. It’s intentional. My blank canvas is my daily reminder that I have a full 24 hours each and every day to paint, metaphorically that is, my masterpiece for the day. Just like I have a blank canvas to paint every day so do you. I don’t mean with real paint, although, for an artist, I guess I do but for the rest of us, I’m talking about painting a life. Every day is your blank canvas. It’s not mine. It’s not your coworker’s or your neighbor’s. It’s yours.

No one else can create your canvas. Although people can fill up your time, they can’t actually design and live your day for you. What you do and what I do with each and every day, it comes from our creativity and our effort and our work and our determination and our ambition and our desire to finish your canvas you must completely paint in each of the corners. This is our reminder to finish our work each and every day. A reminder not to take shortcuts, not to quit early, not to be lazy, but to do the work each and every day until your masterpiece is completed. What a gift! Yet, what an awesome responsibility.

Now it’s time, time for me and time for you to get on to creating our individual and unique masterpieces called today. Let’s go get this. Thanks!
