I’ve been there.
You’ve been there. You may be there now.
We’ve all had seasons in our lives when a certain problem took all our focus. Times when we let our work life steal precious time from our relationships. Times when our health suffered because we stopped exercising or making the right choices regarding what we eat or drink. Times when we let our work slip to take care of a sick family member.
There are seasons in our lives when these things happen. But, if we’re not careful, we can let work pressures, expectations from others, and deadlines determine our overall course and direction in life.
Don’t let this happen to you.
I’m committed to living a balanced and growing life. This is what makes me happy.
Life is difficult to balance. Life is difficult to prioritize. But it’s so worth it. It’s important to live the most balanced life we can and live it to the fullest!
Living a balanced and growing life requires prioritization of the things and people that are the most important to you.
Who do you want to share your time with?
How do you want to spend your time?
What are you doing to create a sense of peace with your finances?
What habits have you created to feel emotionally, physically and spiritually healthy?
What are you doing to excel at your work?
While some things are out of your control, many things are within your control. You, alone, are responsible for the choices you make, and how you spend your days, your weeks, your months and your years. You are in control of the direction of your life.
Setting clear priorities is one of the first tasks I assign my coaching clients. I’ll share this little exercise with you to help you determine, or refine your priorities. It’s simple, and you can do this!
Grab your journal and start a fresh page. Identify the top six priorities areas in your life. I’ve listed my priorities below. Your list might be the same, or it might be different. Either way is totally ok.
Here are the areas that are the most important in my life:
- Spiritual Growth
- Health and Wellness
- Relationships with Key People
- Emotional Health
- Professional Growth
- Financial Peace
These are my priorities, and they are where I place my focus. I set specific goals for each of these categories. The key here is that I want to be growing in all areas, not perfect, but growing. For a lifetime. My idea of growth will be different from yours.
I focus on maintaining balance in all areas. I’m not perfect in this, and that is ok. I do my best and I am happy with that. I don’t want my work life to overtake my personal life, leaving my relationships empty and without substance. I also don’t want to be so focused on my finances that I become greedy or obsessed. I want to enjoy healthy foods and still splurge on occasion. I want to exercise and enjoy living with energy and abundance.
This requires practice, and it’s something I’m constantly tweaking and refining. I am committed to life-long growth and balance. I love learning. I love growing. I love feeling that my life is in balance.
When it’s not, I do my best to fix it. I make small changes over time and I celebrate the results.
I choose to grow each day and enjoy balance along the way.
I wish the same for you!
Coach Brett Blair
I have read your article carefully and I agree with you very much. This has provided a great help for my thesis writing, and I will seriously improve it. However, I don’t know much about a certain place. Can you help me?
I may need your help. I’ve been doing research on gate io recently, and I’ve tried a lot of different things. Later, I read your article, and I think your way of writing has given me some innovative ideas, thank you very much.
Thank you for your sharing. I am worried that I lack creative ideas. It is your article that makes me full of hope. Thank you. But, I have a question, can you help me? https://www.binance.com/ro/join?ref=RQUR4BEO
