I’ve been an entrepreneur now for exactly eight years.  Before that, I was on autopilot, working mostly in roles that didn’t match my purpose or passion.  Thank God that all changed.

I’ve learned a lot over the past eight years, and continue to learn. Being self-employed has a huge set of benefits, but success is illusive, and in many ways, I work harder now than at anytime in my previous life.  The difference – I feel fulfillment and a deep sense of connection to the work I do now.  That makes all the work worth it.

Based on my real-world experience, in being an author, life coach, and owner of an executive search firm, I can attribute my success to two things:

1) The results of plans I made, and the work I did to achieve success, according to my plans and process goals,

AND

2) The random things that happened along the way, totally outside of my control and outside of my plans, that altered the course of my life.

It’s the magic of #2 above that I’ve become more aware of, and more confident, that will continue to happen in my life.  I believe in synchronicity, or also called “predictable miracles,” and I keep my eyes and ears open for predictable miracles each and every day.  Synchronicity can happen when the exact right person enters your life at the exact right time.  It can happen when you magically pick up the exact right book, and read something that precisely answers a question you may have, or solves a problem that you are facing.  It can happen when you hear a song that gives you inspiration or courage to take the next step.

I know too many people who are closed-minded, and are not open to nor aware of the magic that takes place each and every day in their lives.

My plan is to continue to be open to synchronicity, amazed by when it happens, confident that it will continue to happen in my life, and forever grateful to God for placing me in such an amazing, creative, expanding, and abundant universe.

I hope and trust that you are living your life with the same power and awareness.
