To get ahead in life, to get anything accomplished, to get things done, you’ve got to work! There’s no shortcut to that. Actually, anything in life, to get better at it, to be more successful at it, to make a bigger contribution at it, you’ve got to work! Now I’m not saying that work is a bad thing. Work, but bring the joy. Love your work. Do your work. Work, work, work. But what about worry? Think about it. If you’re worried, you can’t work. And if you’re working, you’re probably not worried. And if you have a problem with worry, there are things you can do to get better at that: Become more mindful, more present, more aware. Meditation is a huge, a huge enabler for that. But back to this other idea. Just commit your day to doing the work, and then fill it up with productive work, and you’ll watch worry drift away. My friends, it will work every time!”
